    Greetings,

    Asharqia Chamber extends its warmest greetings to you and informs you of receiving a letter from the Saudi Chambers Union, number (45102860), dated (28/6/1445 AH). The letter refers to the Saudi Standards, Metrology, and Quality Organization letter number (2472), dated (27/6/1445 AH), regarding the organization's functions as stipulated in the Cabinet's decision number (216), dated (17/6/1431 AH), specifically in Article Four (Authority's Responsibilities), paragraph (15) "Undertaking the notification and inquiry center tasks for the Technical Barriers to Trade Agreement under the World Trade Organization."

    In continuation of the organization's approach to enhance effective collaboration with relevant entities in the private sector and keeping them informed about updates on technical regulations and mandatory specifications to overcome technical barriers, the organization invites their participation in studying the technical measures published by countries under the Technical Barriers to Trade Agreement (TBT) at the World Trade Organization (WTO). The objective is to provide comments that serve the interests of the Kingdom in accordance with internationally standardized practices among countries.
